Privacy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This page explains, in plain English, what happens to the information you send through this website. It was written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind. It is not legal advice and makes no claim of legal compliance.

Who is responsible: Mia Carter, Bondi, Sydney NSW. Contact: hello@example.com.

What this site collects

There is one form on this site, the “Ask a question” form. It collects three things:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • the message you write

Nothing else is asked for, and there is no account to create. The site does not run advertising trackers or analytics profiling, and it does not use cookies to follow you around the web.

The form is protected by a spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile). To tell a person from a bot it sees your IP address and some technical details about your browser, and it may set a short-lived cookie for that purpose only. It does not read what you type, and it is not used to profile or advertise to you.

Why it is collected and how it is used

Only to read your message and reply to you about training, bookings or prices. Your details are not used for marketing unless you have separately asked to be contacted that way, and they are never sold, rented or traded.

Health information

Training sometimes involves health details — an injury, a medical condition, a pregnancy, a medication that affects how you train. Sharing any of it is entirely optional. You can train without giving a reason, and you can tell Mia as much or as little as you want.

If you do choose to share something:

  • it is used only to plan training that is safe for you — nothing else;
  • it is collected only with your explicit consent, which means you have to actually tell us, in your own words, that we may hold it;
  • it is not shared with anyone, except the service providers listed below that are needed to run bookings and messages;
  • you can change your mind at any time — email hello@example.com and ask for your consent to be withdrawn and the details deleted.

This website’s own form does not ask any health questions, and the contact form is not a secure channel — please do not type medical details into it. Talk about them in person, or by email once you are in touch. If Cal.com asks a health-related question during booking, it is Cal.com’s question on Cal.com’s page, under Cal.com’s own privacy policy, and answering it is up to you.

Who else is involved

A few services run parts of this site, and each one handles data under its own privacy policy and terms:

  • Booking is handled by Cal.com. When you book a time, the details you enter go to Cal.com, not to this website. Confirmation, cancellation, reschedule and reminder emails about a booking are sent by Cal.com, under Cal.com’s own privacy policy.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout pages and are never seen or stored by Mia Carter or by this site.
  • The spam check on the contact form is run by Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and browser details when you submit it.
  • Hosting and email delivery providers process the site and outgoing messages in order to deliver them.

Storage and disclosure overseas

These are the providers that may store or process your personal information, and the countries they are likely to store it in:

  • Cal.com — Bookings — United States
  • Stripe — Payments — United States
  • Resend — Emails — United States
  • Cloudflare — Spam check — United States
  • Vercel — Website hosting — United States

These providers are based mainly in the United States and may store or process data there or in other countries. That means your information can leave Australia. Each provider runs under its own privacy policy and its own local laws, which are not the same as Australian law.

How long it is kept

Form messages and the email thread that follows are kept only as long as they are useful for answering you and keeping ordinary business records, and are deleted after that. Booking and payment records are kept by Cal.com and Stripe according to their own retention rules, and some financial records must be kept to meet Australian tax and record-keeping obligations.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@example.com and say what you would like done. You may be asked to confirm who you are first.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question about this page, or you think your information has been mishandled, please contact Mia Carter first: hello@example.com. Please say what happened and what you would like done about it.

The aim is to reply within a reasonable time — usually within 30 days of your complaint arriving. Straightforward questions are normally answered sooner.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the Australian privacy regulator, at www.oaic.gov.au. You do not need permission to do that, and you do not have to wait for a reply before going to them.

Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect your information, including serving this site over HTTPS and relying on established providers for booking and payments. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive health or financial details through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when how information is handled changes — for example if a provider above is swapped out, or a new form is added to the site. The current version was last updated on 9 October 2026, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the version you are reading.

There is no mailing list for policy changes. If a change affects how your information is used, you will be told about it when you are next in touch.
